Emboldened by their party's newly won majority, Wonder Twins Chucky Schumer and Dianne Feinstein right wrongs and protect the weak by applying the maximum force that the new Democratic Mandate gives them to constrain the Executive Branch!
Gopher moat politics. That's about the best description of the current state of Democratic affairs in the US congress I have heard. I hope the meme sticks. And then leaves a big red welt where it stuck.

When I get irritated at certain Dems, I get out the checkbook and send money to some that I agree with. Today it was Ted Kennedy. Also impressed with what Waxman has been doing to expose that crook at the State Department whose brother is a consultant to Blackwater.

He's sponsoring the Senate version of ENDA, WITHOUT trans protections. And any ENDA without trans protections is toothless at best - and shows the cowardice of some elitists of the Democratic Party.
I see fewer and fewer reasons to send checks out to the likes of DCCC and DSCC. Even a recent Obama '08 poster went into my recycling bin.
