Maximum Irony
Speechless.
From The Department of Things I Couldn't Possibly Make Up Because No One Would Believe Me:
NEW YORK (AP) — A 710-year-old copy of the declaration of human rights known as the Magna Carta — the version that became part of English law — was auctioned Tuesday for $21.3 million, a Sotheby's spokeswoman said. The document, which had been expected to draw bids of $30 million or higher, was bought by David Rubenstein of The Carlyle Group, a private equity firm, the spokeswoman said.
Just. Shoot. Me.

Monkey posted information on the Carlyle Group that I'll repost here.
Controversy
I also want to point out Bill Clinton's 'closeness' with one George H. Bush and his association with this group. Keep in mind that GHB was under investigation by Kerry and yet Clinton stopped the investigations.
I think it's more than irony...it's spooky!

That's why their names have been linked. Bill Clinton doesn't even realise that what he said about him and George HW together fixing George W's mistakes, has spooked a lot of people away from Hillary. Not that they don't want his *mistakes* fixed, they need them to be acknowledged and fixed.
The republicans are hoping against hope that Hillary wins the primaries. If they do, the candidates for president will be Republican OR Republican Hillary style.
sigh. I only had a tiny little header to read followed by a short comment to read - and I didn't attribute it to the right person. The blockquote above was posted by sparrow, for monkey - I think.
