An Excuse to Go Crazy
The moon is closer to earth than it's been all year (221,560 miles.) It's 14% bigger and 30% brighter, as far as our perception, than some other full moons from this year. It was the biggest at moonrise. The tides are unusually high, which will lead to more polluted beaches.
