I'm glad to add that the vigil held in Riverside, California, 92501, is hosted by none other than my writing teacher, Gayle Brandeis, author of The Book of Dead Birds. She's also contributed a poem to the Code Pink Women for Peace.

I will try to attend tonight's vigil with her if at all possible. At least I am finally discussing serious politics with her, and the next step would be to introduce her to DCP, something I've meant to do for months but haven't acted on because of concerns of having to out myself. But then, there is no more closet for me to hide in anymore, I've pretty much destroyed it in recent days.
